Ian, Amy and Jill
The three of them were at the North Daviess Elementary gym attending Saturday afternoon basketball games. Ian had participated in one a little earlier as a North Daviess Cougar; Amy, Rex's daughter, and Jill were there supporting the young Bloomfield players. I had come over from the girls' regional action at the high school gym (South Central and Vincennes Rivet won and meet tonight for the championship).

Lamp Shades
Up early this morning and did some experimenting with different settings after reading a Bryan Larson article, Taking Manual Control Over Your Digital Camera. However, the above photo is one picture with several takes on the light mix, or, to put it another way, shadings of a floor lamp.

Late Afternoon in Downtown Loogootee
Photo: Downtown Loogootee just before five from inside the Dairy Queen.
Diane and I had just dropped off the Jeep at G&M for repair and were heading back home when the local Dairy Queen jumped out right in front of the Yaris and brought us to a dead stop. And since we were already stopped, why not go in and have a late afternoon treat. Diane had a brownie sundae and I had a choco cherry blizzard. Yum. We did not spoil our dinner appetite as we had a turkey and barley soup waiting for us at home - just had the desert first. Soup, another of Diane's culinary delights, was delicious, too.

Girls having fun
Another pencil sketch from a photo. The photo comes from the Cougar-Patriot sectional game of a week ago yesterday.
