Bookwork
Eugene Knepp does some figuring after spending the greater part of the day underneath the house putting together the plumbing and the heating to the addition. He and his brother, Waylon, can now take a break - I suggested golf - as they have to wait for other stuff to happen before they come back and actually hook up the water and the electricity.

Around the Arena: Boys Sectional 2010 Day 1 2
Cap put on sideways.
Boy with lollipop.
Shoals team helpers being helpful.
And, yes, there was basketball. North Daviess throttled Shoals in the second game. In the first game, Barr-Reeve trounced Loogootee. The winners go on to Friday games with Washington Catholic and Vincennes Rivet.

Breaking In
Dale Yoder came in late yesterday afternoon after the electricians were in to reroute the wiring to the front room and is here seen removing the framing to what was once our north window.
And here the new doorway that connects the addition to the existing structure.

The Boys
Lucas and Ian getting home from school yesterday. Growing up fast though probably not fast enough for either of them.

Around the Arena: Girls Semistate at Bedford North Lawrence
It was pretty crowded at the arena but I really didn't think it was 'lap room only' status quite yet.
Part of the band, one with five in the clarinet section - 3A school Rushville. What a luxury!
Local golfer Scott Arthur was prowling the sidelines before putting on his striped shirt for the second game. Don't really think the Rushville cheerleaders were applauding him but then, who knows - they did go on to beat the Evansville Memorial team with Scott being one of the officials. Giving him thanks in advance?
Vincennes Rivet did win its game against Waldron, 55-38. Here one of the players, already sporting a semistate tee shirt, demonstrates how to catch a basketball (well, maybe not precisely that) to a couple of very intent young men. The Rivet girls will meet Fort Wayne Canterbury for the title next Saturday at 10am in Fort Wayne. It was the Canterbury team that nipped them for the title last year after Rivet had it all but wrapped up. Sounds like payback time.
