Summer, at last!

Seems like the warm weather has been slow in getting here this year - our spring has been plentiful with rain and wet. But now it has arrived and suddenly the lake is spotted with boats and skiers and people out having a little fun in the sun. Above a lone skier was starting the Memorial Day weekend a little early (Friday night) with a spin and a bump and a twist and a turn around the lake. He even did a somersault (summersault?!) just before I had my camera ready to shoot. Ah, summer. This is a b&w for the monochrome maniacs around the world. More here.

Looks as though he's skiing towards a mystical world. The trees at the end of the lake look inviting and threatening at the same time, as though they're rising from mists.

This is one for Digital Polaroids. Nice scene.

Hmmm - this one looks so peaceful, but I think I see someone having some fun in there too :-)

Wonderful! Was the somersault accidental or planned? :) I agree with jabblog about the trees.

The trees in the background makes it very mysterious! :) And often this kind of pictures (sport/activities) looks great in colors, but this one was perfect in b&w!

Unusual to see this kind of photo in B&W, but it's worked nicely.
