Did go out to the golf course for a short spell today. Walked and along the way noted a blooming forsythia and the return of the swallows. Weather just got worse with temperatures dropping and the wind picking up. Closed up and headed to town where groceries were picked up - Easy Ed was there in the vegetable patch and Mary was shopping. Went over to Jim and Wilma's for a spell before heading home. Stopped in at the China Wok for a bite to eat. Took a picture. Then when I left and was about to get in my car, the war machinery made the turn across the way at JFK Blvd. Made me think of Vietnam and Iraq, too. Glad that it wasn't our country, our little town, being driven through by soldiers from another country, occupying forces, lads far away from their own homes and families.
