Notre Dame Football Coaching Woes

Notre Dame football - used to follow it much more closely than I do now and all of a sudden I come across an article suggesting that the current coach is needing reassurance from the ND AD that he will be back. Whoa, what's going on here? Conjecture. He really isn't doing any better than the previous two coaches who were canned after three and five seasons. The AD was asked what would happen if Weis failed to beat Navy and/or Syracuse. Certainly the Irish won't lose to Navy and Syracuse, will they? Sure wish there was a second Lou Holtz out there some where. (Am enjoying Lou's Wins, Losses, and Lessons. He's finished up at Notre Dame and has moved on. I take him on his word that he left because he had no intention of surpassing Knute Rockne's record. He's very believable.)
