Drove up to Odon last night and took in the Loogootee and Shoals girls' sectional game. Been a long time since I've been to one of those and was surprised at both the youth and the athleticism of these young women. Though wearing yellow and black, found myself cheering for the underdog Shoals girls who in the end did not have enough fire power to overcome the Lions.
Lots of golfers up there itching to get back out on the links, including Karry Stoll and Alan George. Wayne Perle was enjoying the game down on the floor. Tom Taylor was there cheering on his daughter, Ashley, one of the young guns for the Jug Rox. Larry Hembree was there too taking pictures. Larry Sherfick caught me up a little bit on his goings on. Batemans and Nelsons were all over the place. Both student sections were wild, crazy and filled with endless energy.
So it goes. Golf course today, at least for a while.
