Monochrome Monday: Bloomington Night Scene

From the Square in Bloomington, Indiana. It was a cold night and people were bundled up. Photo taken during my cat sitting assignment over the holidays and is posted for my fellow Monochrome Maniacs whose pictures can be found by going here. This b&w is one of many taken over the several days I was in Bloomington. Many of those can be seen at Picture Social as well as in previous posts here.

It was surely a dark night... gave you some nice deep blacks.

Nice shot. I like how the string of lights lines the building, and the way you captured the scene with the people approaching the crosswalk really makes me feel like I am right there. The downtown looks very quaint and I can imagine it must be very colorful too. Thanks from Linnea

Nice choice. Enlarged , it's even more perfect. I would like to pass time watching at this window of the corner building.
A nice atmosphere for Monochrome. Just like in a B&W detective movie.

Tho it is cold and dark, the lights portray a sense of welcome and community. I like it.
