Monday of Independence Week

Darn the luck! No hole-in-one this past week at Lakeview. That ends the streak at six. I don't think it is any too early to start another run of super shot making and visits by the golf goddess. Need volunteers to start it off. Anyone?

Enjoyed watching the ladies at the US Open. Cristie Kerr won her first major with steady play to the end. Number One lady golfer Lorena Ochoa cracked at hole #17 with a wayward drive that resulted in a bogey. Not good for Lorena who was also looking for her first major win.

If you haven't looked outside yet, it's lovely: sun is shining and the temperatures are low; little humidity. You know it's going to be a grand day for golf, starting about an hour ago and extending through the next fourteen hours. All sorts of opportunities for surprises and super shots. Head on out there - that's where I'm going. Diane following directly, has another date with Shirley. Eric and Lucas already out there. I think we can leave the rest of the world in the hands of others for a short period of time; don't expect them to change direction much one way or the other.
