Saturdays in the Park

or at the golf course as the case may be.

Diane is filling my cup, that would be my second cup of coffee of the morning. She just emerged from the bedroom saying that she was going to stay in bed another half hour but then realized that she had to play golf at 8am. Hmmm, Mikey thinks and ponders and then says: "You are going to play golf at 8am on a Saturday morning?!" You all know that would be a first though she has been invited to join us guys and there have been several Saturdays when we desperately needed just one more player. But no, not this Saturday (btw, where's Shirley?); Diane immediately made things crystal clear by saying: "It's not Monday?! I could have turned over and sleapt another half hour." Well, I had to agree with her, that it was not Monday, unless we had just had one of those wonderful lost weekends that we are always hearing about...

Ok, heading to the golf course. We're going to have to let the world take care of itself for a little while longer as we tend to local matters. (Did notice that Republican Senators Warner and Lugar are trying to get the ear of the president. Good luck, fellers. And one other thing: who took Michelle Wie's place at the John Deere Classic and how is that person doing? People crashing the gate to see that person swing a club? Se Ri Pak still leading at the Corning Classic.)
