Movie Time

It was Diane who brought in the one with the subtitles this week: The Crime of Padre Amaro. Bad Padre Amaro falls in love with a young beautiful girl in a small Mexican town and then doesn't do her right when push comes to shove. Diane was incensed by the young priest who did everything wrong in her book. Bad Padre Amaro.

My choice was Dirty Pretty Things which is set in London and has as its main characters a Muslim woman from Turkey and a Nigerian doctor (man), both immigrants working menial jobs to stay alive. Very interesting and moving portrayal of what people will do to survive and get on with their lives. Well worth the watch. Gets a four from me.
