Our Political World

On Democrats

Meteor Blades takes the Democrats out to the woodshed for caving on the expansion (making legal of what was illegal as MB says) of the intelligence gathering law. Does seem crazy to me also; isn't it similar to what happened back in 2003 when Congress authorized the use of force in Iraq? Fool me once, naughty on you, fool me twice, shame on me kind of time, don't you think? Wonder how Brad Ellsworth voted? Darn... he did the dirty. Caved to the fear mongering of the worst administration in history. Bad on you, Brad Ellsworth.

And this from the WAPO article on the caving:

"..."I'm not comfortable suspending the constitution even temporarily," said Rep. Rush D. Holt (D-N.J.), a member of the House intelligence committee. "The countries we detest around the world are the ones that spy on their own people. Usually they say they do it for the sake of public safety and security."...."

(Sports break: Lorena leads by 6 through 9 holes... Not on ABC till this afternoon, tape delay; bad on you, ABC.)

Enough on politics for the moment.
